QuietLink Terms of Service
Version: 1.1.0
Published: 23 August 2026
Effective: 23 August 2026
Welcome to QuietLink (also known in Chinese as “静联”, the “Service”). These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and IDEASPHERE PTE. LTD. (UEN 202609984N, “we”, “us” or “our”) governing your registration for, access to and use of the Service.
Please read these Terms and the QuietLink Privacy Policy carefully, particularly the provisions concerning minors, account security, end-to-end encryption, user content, virtual items, limitations of liability and dispute resolution. By registering, selecting “Agree”, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not register or use the Service.
Important Security Notice: The Service uses a release-candidate, MVP-level end-to-end encryption design that has not undergone an independent cryptographic or mobile security audit. It is not a mature secure communications tool for state secrets, highly confidential trade secrets, personal-safety emergencies or other high-risk uses. No internet service or encryption implementation is absolutely secure.
1. Operator and Contact Information
- Operator and data controller: IDEASPHERE PTE. LTD.
- UEN: 202609984N
- Registered address: 421 CHOA CHU KANG AVENUE 4, #02-230, KEAT HONG LAUREL, SINGAPORE 680421
- Website: https://website.52dly.com/
- Customer support, complaints and Data Protection Officer (“DPO”): admin@ideasphereapac.com
- We ordinarily provide an initial response within seven (7) business days after receiving a complete request. Complex matters may take longer and will be handled within any period required by applicable law.
2. Eligibility and Minors
- The Service is available only to persons who are at least fourteen (14) years old.
- If you are under eighteen (18), or have not reached the age at which you may independently agree to these Terms where you live, you may use the Service only after your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Guardians are responsible for appropriately supervising a minor’s use.
- A child under fourteen (14) must not register for or use the Service. If we reasonably believe that an account belongs to a child under fourteen, we may suspend or terminate it and handle associated information as required by law.
- The Service is not designed for children and must not be used to circumvent mandatory child-safety laws where the user lives.
3. Registration and Account Security
- You may register using a username and password. You must provide lawful and accurate information and must not impersonate another person or use unlawful, infringing or deceptive profile information.
- The Service does not currently verify identity using a mobile number or government-issued identification. You acknowledge that registration methods may change to meet legal, regulatory or app-store requirements. We may decline to offer registration, communications or public-posting features in a territory where mandatory requirements are not satisfied.
- You must safeguard your password, security-question answers, devices and device-unlock credentials. Accounts may not be sold, rented, gifted, lent or transferred.
- Each device locally generates a cryptographic identity private key. Device private keys are not uploaded to the server. A new device may require approval from a trusted device. If all devices are lost, recovery may remove old device sessions, and messages encrypted only for old device keys may be unrecoverable.
- If you detect unauthorised access or lose a device, promptly change your password, remove the device and contact us.
4. The Service
- Depending on the release, territory, device capabilities and compliance requirements, the Service may offer direct and group messaging, image and file attachments, voice messages and calls, social posts, nearby-user discovery, QR scanning, a points store, a card marketplace, saved items, cosmetic customisation and push notifications.
- Random communications between strangers or anonymous users are not a supported use of the Service. Connections and groups must follow the Service’s relationship and invitation mechanisms.
- We may adjust, suspend or discontinue features for security, compliance, maintenance, operational or product reasons. We will use reasonable means to notify users of material changes.
- Features may depend on operating systems, network operators, Apple Push Notification service (“APNs”), and servers, databases, attachment storage and TURN voice relays located in Hong Kong.
5. Acceptable Use
You must not use the Service to create, upload, publish, send, disseminate, store or assist with content or conduct that:
- violates applicable law or threatens national, public or cybersecurity interests;
- involves fraud, gambling, terrorism, extremism, pornography, child sexual exploitation, violent threats, hate or other unlawful or harmful material;
- harasses, stalks, bullies or defames another person, or infringes privacy, personal data, reputation, likeness, intellectual property or other rights;
- involves spam, abusive marketing, bulk registration, automated abuse or unreasonable consumption of resources;
- accesses, scans, tests, attacks or interferes with the Service without authorisation, distributes malware, or circumvents access controls, security measures or territorial restrictions;
- impersonates a person, misrepresents an affiliation, deceives users, or misuses nearby discovery, QR scanning, social posts, groups, points or cards for unlawful purposes; or
- reverse engineers or unlawfully obtains source code, or otherwise infringes rights in the Service, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
End-to-end encryption does not relieve users of responsibility for their conduct or content.
6. Public Content, Complaints and Enforcement
- You may be able to publish content visible to other users through social-posting features. You must hold all rights needed to publish that content and remain responsible for it.
- To report unlawful, infringing, abusive or otherwise prohibited accounts, social posts or messages, use the relevant in-app Report action to submit the object identifier, reason and necessary details. You may send supplementary evidence to admin@ideasphereapac.com. Do not send passwords, answers to security questions, device private keys or unrelated private communications.
- We generally cannot proactively read the plaintext of end-to-end encrypted communications. An in-app message report submits the message identifier, sender and conversation metadata by default and does not automatically upload message plaintext. We process details you voluntarily provide only as necessary for complaints, security, protection of rights and legal obligations.
- To the extent permitted by law and technically feasible, we may warn users, restrict public posting, remove public content or related objects, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, threaten the Service or harm others.
- You can block a user from the contact-details screen, report social posts or messages from their action menus, and unblock users under Account Security — Blocked Users. A frozen account can submit an appeal from the sign-in screen. Public display names, social posts and comments may be blocked by automated rules or queued for human review; the server does not scan end-to-end encrypted private-message plaintext.
7. Encryption, Security and Availability
- Messages and attachments are encrypted on user devices. The servers principally process accounts, device public keys, relationships, groups, routing metadata, ciphertext and necessary security records. Voice media ordinarily uses WebRTC between participating devices; TURN relays encrypted media and required signalling only when necessary.
- The current design uses X25519, HKDF-SHA256 and AES-256-GCM, but does not yet fully implement Double Ratchet, MLS, key transparency or independently audited safety-number verification. It therefore does not provide forward secrecy and post-compromise recovery assurances equivalent to mature audited protocols.
- Encryption cannot eliminate risks from compromised endpoints, screenshots, recording, recipient copying or forwarding, weak passwords, malware, metadata exposure, social engineering or implementation defects.
- The Service is not a backup service. Retention settings, local deletion, recall, device removal, logout, account action, storage cleanup or failures may make data irrecoverable.
- Recall or deletion cannot guarantee removal of content already viewed, saved, downloaded, copied or captured by another person.
8. Permissions, Location and Third Parties
- Camera, photo, file, microphone, notification and location permissions are requested only when relevant features require them. Refusing an optional permission will not affect unrelated features, although the relevant feature may not work.
- Nearby-user features may process location or approximate-area information. The Privacy Policy and system permission notice describe the applicable processing, retention and controls.
- APNs provides push notifications. Apple and other infrastructure providers process necessary information under their own terms and privacy rules.
- We do not currently use advertising, behavioural analytics or third-party crash analytics SDKs. If that changes, we will update the Privacy Policy and obtain consent where required.
9. Points and Virtual Items
- The Service is free to download. The current version does not offer subscriptions, cash top-ups, digital content for real-money purchase or Apple in-app purchases. Points can be earned only through in-product methods such as inviting friends or receiving gifts from other users.
- Cards, cosmetic items and other virtual items can be redeemed only with in-product points. If real-money purchases are introduced later, we will first update these Terms, the Privacy Policy and store disclosures and implement purchase, restore and refund handling under the applicable rules of Apple and other distribution platforms.
- Points and virtual items are available only for designated uses within the Service. They are not legal tender, do not accrue interest and may not be withdrawn, redeemed for cash or used outside expressly permitted functions.
- The card marketplace does not support transactions for real money. Users must not privately sell, cash out, launder funds, gamble or commit fraud using virtual items.
- Except where applicable law or app-store rules require otherwise, virtual items may expire when an account is deleted, the account is sanctioned, or the Service ends, and may not be transferred to another account.
10. User Content and Intellectual Property
- You retain rights you lawfully hold in messages, profile materials, files and public content, and represent that you may lawfully process and communicate that content through the Service.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, service-limited licence, capable of lawful delegation to service providers, to store, transmit, route, display, back up and delete relevant ciphertext, public content and necessary metadata. This licence does not transfer ownership of communications plaintext or user content to us.
- The software, interface, trade marks, branding, documentation and related materials of the Service remain the property of their lawful owners and may not be copied, modified, sold or commercially exploited without authorisation.
11. Retention, International Processing and Privacy
- While an account remains active, we retain account, device, relationship and configuration data as necessary to provide the Service. Ciphertext, attachments and local data are handled according to user settings, product configuration and the Privacy Policy.
- After account deletion, we delete or anonymise associated personal data, except where retention is required by law or necessary for disputes, security incidents, fraud prevention or protection of legal rights. A deleted username may generally become available again, although we may restrict reuse for a necessary period to prevent impersonation, fraud or rights violations.
- Production servers, databases, attachment storage and TURN services are located in Hong Kong. The operator is in Singapore, and Apple provides push services. Information may therefore be processed or transferred among Hong Kong, Singapore and locations where Apple or its service providers operate as necessary for service delivery, support, security and notifications.
- We use contractual, access-control, encryption, minimisation and other reasonable safeguards for international processing, and obtain consent or complete required procedures where applicable.
- The Privacy Policy describes the categories, purposes, retention periods, recipients and methods for exercising privacy rights in more detail.
12. Ending Use and Account Deletion
- You may stop using the Service at any time. An account-deletion function is available in the app. To prevent unauthorised deletion, we may require verification using the password, security questions or other account-related information.
- Once deletion takes effect, the account is disabled, login sessions are revoked, and account data is handled under these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Messages encrypted only for former device keys may be unrecoverable.
- Deletion does not remove responsibility for earlier violations, affect content retained by third parties, or end matters that must lawfully continue to be processed.
13. Changes, Suspension and Termination
- The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, network failures, third-party services, security incidents or force majeure. We will make reasonable efforts to restore it.
- We may restrict, suspend or terminate the Service to the extent permitted by law if you violate these Terms, threaten security or harm others.
- If we plan to permanently discontinue the Service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and handle data and outstanding matters as required by law.
14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- We use reasonable security measures appropriate to the Service, but do not warrant that it will be absolutely secure, error-free, uninterrupted or immune from data loss.
- To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are responsible only as required by law for loss caused by force majeure, infrastructure failures, third-party services, user device or account security, unlawful user conduct, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.
15. Changes to These Terms
- We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, features, security, operations or data processing.
- We will give prominent notice of material changes affecting user rights or obligations. Where law requires renewed consent, we will obtain it.
- If you do not agree to updated Terms, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by Singapore law, without excluding mandatory consumer, child-safety, privacy or other laws that cannot lawfully be waived where the user lives.
- The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes in good faith through admin@ideasphereapac.com.
- A dispute not resolved within thirty (30) days will be finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC”) under the SIAC Rules in force when the Notice of Arbitration is submitted. The seat is Singapore, the tribunal consists of one arbitrator, and the language is English.
- This clause does not prevent emergency or interim relief, complaints to a competent regulator, or remedies before a competent court where mandatory consumer law does not permit their exclusion.
17. General
- These Terms and the Privacy Policy are important rules governing the Service. If they conflict regarding personal-data processing, the Privacy Policy and applicable law prevail.
- If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
- Failure to immediately enforce a right is not a waiver.
- If the Chinese and English versions differ, the English version prevails unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
